A true gem in Cleveland Heights! Mac's is filled to the brim with both current and classic fiction and plenty of good non-fiction, too. There's also a very extensive Sci-Fi section upstairs (possibly the largest selection in all of Cleveland if you are looking for older Sci-Fi not typically found in a place like Borders or B&N). As a store that gives credit for trade (a rarity these days), you can bring in books you don't need and get some credit toward some "new" used books. It's a wonderful system, and it keeps fresh inventory coming in constantly. There is personal service that far surpasses any big-box or internet store. Folks there really get to know you and what you like to read, and they can truly recommend some good books. If they don't have what you want in the store, they can order in any title that's in print and often don't mind doing a used book search for you if you need it. On top of all this, Mac's hosts authors and wonderful events throughout the year, along with a regular story tellers/writers group, poetry readings and more. Check out their website for what's coming up, and get on the mailing list to find out more. Support your indie book store! While you're at it, you can grab a great sandwich or milkshake at Tommy's, which has an adjoining door to Mac's and then head on over to Big Fun on the other side of Mac's for a trip down memory lane and some silly photos in their photo-booth. Mac's is in the perfect location for a day of fun.
The MOST delicious sauce anywhere...Absolutely amazing place. I went back 3 times in one day once I discovered them. Brought homemade pasta, sauce and bread to a neighbor who agreed that it was a fantastic meal. I can't wait to go back and plan to drive out of my way to keep Gallucci's in my menu planning. Be sure to take home some of their prepared items to stock your freezer (pizza dough, fried eggplant, pasta sauces). You'll never have to cook from scratch again!!

Absolutely the most delicious (and affordable!) Chinese food in the Cleveland area. Our favorite -- and Shirley really gets to know you and what your special favorites are. Great personal service! The only place we go for Chinese -- and we tried so many places before we found them. If you haven't tried Happy Buddha yet, do it!
