When you think of a Tribute Band, most people think of a band where everyone looks just like the artists that are being tributed. Northeast Ohio’s Stone Pony Band takes a totally different approach. Celebrating the music of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, as well as Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, this group of eight veteran Cleveland musicians chooses instead to tribute the music rather than just the artist. By choosing to honor the music instead of just the artists, the Stone Pony Band can represent the music as it was meant to be heard, not as just a selection of greatest hits album tracks.
For over a decade, this tight-knit group has shared the energy of an E Street Band show or a Southside Johnny concert on stages from Chicago to New York and all places in between. Satisfying the ferocious fans of the Boss as well as winning new fans over to the incredible music of these two New Jersey legends has been a mainstay of the Stone Pony Band’s reputation. This band’s sound, energy, and ability to incorporate the audiences into their performances are just a few of the many things that set this band apart from the mainstream tribute acts.
And did we mention that the Stone Pony Band features the North Coast Horns? Hearing the music of Bruce Springsteen and Southside Johnny with the raw power of this renowned horn section takes a Stone Pony show clearly into the next dimension.
So come out and experience what the local press and thousands of die-hard Springsteen and Southside fans have been saying for years – “this band is the closest you’re going to get to an actual Springsteen show”. The music truly DOES do all the talking.
