Campus Recreation Services is housed in the 110,000 square foot 3-story Recreation Center that adjoins the Physical Education Building, allowing shared use of the Busbey Natatorium.
Recreation Center amenities include two lap pools; basketball, volleyball, racquetball and squash courts; a multipurpose gymnasium; weight rooms and cardiovascular areas; a circuit training area; an indoor track; ping pong and pool tables; three multipurpose activity studios; locker rooms; lounge areas; and Glenn's Energy Oasis juice bar.
Services include group fitness classes, instructional classes such as dance, yoga, and pilate's, personal training, fitness testing, learn to swim courses, intramural sports, sport clubs, summer day camps, equipment checkout, locker rentals, and informal recreation opportunities such as basketball, volleyball, racquetball, squash, weightlifting, and running.
Actually, it really isn't possible to make a choice between voting for the BEST Gym or voting for the BEST Personal Trainers, when evalutating the Recreation Center, at Cleveland State University. CSU has both: the BEST Gym AND the very BEST Personal Trainers. There is just no question about it!

This is an oasis in middle of concrete desert. I joined almost seven years ago and if I am in town, not a single day goes by that I don’t go to CSU gym. Even on weekends!!! Student workers are really nice and very respectful. Clean showers and men’s room. One thing I like to see though…… fresh juice, fruits and salad bar. Love this place!

Great equipment and facilities. Friendly and helpful staff. Best of all, they always adapt to what works! I have seen many improvements to little details over the past 2 years. Best gym ever!
