Having been born and raised in a small town outside of Naples, Italy, we grew up following our mother on her daily visits to the open-air markets where she shopped for our needs. But unlike our modern American grocery stores, the Italian markets of my childhood were a wonderful swirling mixture of sights, sounds and smells that stay with me to this day. And sometimes the lure of all that delicious, fresh food became too tempting, and we would sit at a café table and just savor it all... the irresistible food, the bright music, the companionship and laughter of friends, and the sense that there, in that wonderful Italian market place, we had all that we could ever truly need.
Here at Castaldi's, we hope that we may share with you some of that “Italian market experience” by offering fresh, generously-prepared authentic foods, serenaded by our talented singing servers in an atmosphere of warmth and fun.
