Although Broestl & Wallis Fine Jewelers has been in Lakewood since 1987, it's built on years of experience and community involvement.
From charity events to design contests, the jewelers have made their distinctive mark in the area. Master designer Dan Wallis opened up shop after leaving pre-dentistry school in 1966 to earn 50 cents an hour working for another jeweler. He learned the business from the ground up and over the years, gradually brought his cousin Jeff Broestl into the company at the age of 15.
Custom work has become a specialty of the shop, accounting for about half of the business. They specialize in creating truly unique pieces of fine jewelry for clients who desire something extra special. They also encourage clients to envision designs of their own, which the jewelers then manufacture right in the store.
