Established in 1979, the Karate Institute is owned and operated by Grand Master Dennis Janes and his wife and partner, Mercedes Janes. Both Senseis have been inducted to the Eastern USA International Martial Arts Hall of Fame. They, along with a dedicated staff of Black Belt instructors, personally teach their students not only the physical skills of the martial arts, but also the strength of characters and discipline necessary to succeed in life.
